Our Mission

The mission of Hyde Park Day School is to provide students with learning disabilities of average to superior ability with an innovative and comprehensive educational model that will help prepare them for a successful transition to public or private schools in their home community.

Our Values and Beliefs

We believe that:

  • All children can learn and thrive;
  • The educational best interest of each child is the first priority;
  • A successful school creates a nurturing, secure, learning environment based on mutual respect, individual achievement, and cooperation;
  • The Individual Education Plan (IEP) is the cornerstone of each student's personalized curriculum;
  • The school's living mission is sustained when the families and communities it serves have opportunities for meaningful influence;
  • An ongoing partnership with a major center of learning is vital to the integration of theory, research, and practice.

Commitment

The HPDS are private, not-for-profit day schools serving the needs of children with learning disabilities. Through its active partnership with parents, communities, educators, and researchers, HPDS are committed to educational excellence, in a safe and caring environment, in which all students acquire skills for lifelong learning.
